3 KmoreMacro Clients who are crushing it this holiday season
The holiday season is definitely the hardest time of the year to start or stick to a healthy lifestyle. However, the struggle makes it that much more important to learn about nutrition and commit to your health. I always teach my clients that macro tracking isn’t a short-term or quick fix. It’s a long-term solution to lose weight and keep it off.
I am privileged to have worked with hundreds of clients over the past four years, but I want to highlight just a few of the women who have made this journey with me.
They’ve all lost varying amounts of weight. They all have different backgrounds and struggles. However, through an individualized plan, they’ve all also hit their weight loss goals. I hope that you can relate to their stories and find the ingredient that is missing in your own weight loss journey.
Meet Taylor
Taylor has been one of the most wonderful clients to work with. She’s kind, smart, compassionate and beautiful. I have loved watching her come to the realization that she deserved to be healthy.
Over the two years I’ve worked with Taylor she has lost over 140 lbs - for good! But in true KmoreMacro fashion, she’s found that the weight loss wasn’t the biggest change in her life. Here is what she learned and how she crushed her goals in her own words.
Where she started:
"I have struggled with a binge eating disorder for most of my adult life. I had done every restrictive diet under the sun and always failed. I was convinced that I was just lazy, had no willpower and no control over my binge behaviors. Coming to Krista was my rock bottom moment. The scale was climbing and I was desperate to change my life.”
Where she’s at now:
“Working with Krista at KmoreMacro has literally changed my life! Krista is a wealth of information and the biggest cheerleader you can have by your side. In the last 2 years, she has provided me with the tools, guidance and accountability to successful;y lose 125 lbs, train for half marathons and create a healthy relationship with food.”
What she learned on her journey:
“KmoreMacro helped me change my perspective on ‘diet culture’ - shifting me away from unhealthy, self-destructive eating habits and showing me what is possible if you commit and believe in yourself. This journey has made me a better mom, wife and friend, but more importantly, it helped me discover my true genuine self.”
Meet Nicole
Nicole is a personal friend and client. She watched me make my own health journey but didn’t join me right away because she struggled to invest the money in herself - something I can 100% relate to!
Once Nicole took the leap of faith and invested in herself she changed not only her life but her husband’s life! He has joined us and is embarking on his own health journey because he saw the beautiful changes, both physical and mental, that Nicole had made. I’ll let her tell you about her own journey.
Where she started:
“I started with Krista at a weight that I promised myself I would never reach. My issue with food was that I wouldn’t eat it. I always got “too busy” and before I know it, it was dinner time. I put everything else first, work especially, and took care of others before myself. I didn’t realize until enrolling in the program just how much I need to eat in order to be healthy.”
Where she’s at now:
“I chose to continue my journey with Krista after the initial eight weeks because this process works for me and I wasn’t done achieving all my goals, though I am confident that I could do it on my own based on the tools she gave me. I just really like the process, the people, and the check-ins. To date, I am down 25 pounds in four months and am less than ten pounds away from my goal weight. I have more energy, have accomplished some major life goals, and I feel confident in my skin for the first time in a long time.”
What she learned on her journey:
“From the beginning, you are supported by Krista herself through the whole process. She guides you along the way and gives you weekly resources to help. The accountability calls are great. I love hearing from other people in the program, both their wins as well as their struggles. It reminds you that you are never alone in the process and others understand what you are going through.”
Meet Emily
I can relate so much to Emily! She is an athletic trainer for a college basketball team. She has put her own body through the wringer to better serve her athletes. She told me that as a health professional she thought she should have been able to help herself, but ultimately she discovered that she needed someone who was in her corner, just like she was for her athletes.
I love that Emily was able to ask for help! She’s a great example to so many women on how to be strong and teachable. I’m glad I’ve been able to be a part of her journey! Here’s her story, in her words.
Where she started:
I am an athletic trainer and have taken various nutrition classes in college, grad school, and professionally. While I can give advice to my athletes about how to optimize their nutrition, I couldn’t get a handle on my own. I went through a phase for about a year of trying different diets before my athletes to let them know if it was a sustainable diet for a Division 1 athlete. Shocker - the majority are not. In the process of trying all of those diets I wrecked my body by yo-yo-ing, gained 15 lbs over a year and a half, and wrecked my mind as to what was ‘healthy.’”
Where she’s at now:
“My first 8 weeks I lost 6lbs and had tons of energy for my workouts! I was not fueling my body the right way before and either felt heavy and sluggish in workouts or dragging and weak. It feels good to feel good again! Once the holidays hit, this steady loss subsided. However, I was able to maintain rather than say “screw it” and go H.A.M. like in years past.”
What she learned on her journey:
“Previously I had denied myself of certain foods, ended up binging, and then feeling so awful for failing on my diet. The first time I savored every bite of pumpkin cheesecake and had no regrets was so freeing! I felt a balance between health and enjoying food again.”
I hope you noticed that all of these women went through a mental transformation as well as a physical one. I don’t just work on helping my clients lose weight. I want them to grow mentally and realize that they are worth every ounce of the work they put into themselves.
Weight loss is just a happy byproduct of learning to love yourself. I’m honored to be able to help my clients discover that. If you’re ready to crush your own goals now or in the new year, then let’s chat! Book a free discovery call to get started!
