2 Reasons Macros Made Easy Mamas love that the program has a strong community
When you start a health journey, one tip you’ll hear a lot is to get an accountability partner. There’s a reason that people suggest that - because having someone to lean on helps you go further. This is why I have made community a crucial part of the Macros Made Easy Program!
I want all of my clients to feel like they have support not just while they’re in the program, but for as long as they want or need it! I use tools like Voxer and group coaching calls to keep the Macros Made Easy Mamas connected.
I won’t lie, sometimes people are a little apprehensive about the idea of people knowing where they’re at on their weight loss journey. They worry that they'll be judged or that they need to hide because they’ve put on more weight than they want to admit.
However, if you are open to it you’ll find that having a community proves that not only you are more normal than you think. But you’ll also discover that you aren’t the only one who is struggling with your weight. Some women are trying to lose the baby weight, some have put on weight from emotional eating, and some struggle with weight as their hormones shift and change with age. Whatever you’re going through, I’m sure you’ll find someone else who is struggling with the same thing!
You’ll also find that there are so many benefits to surrounding yourself with people who are either in the same place or have been in your place and moved out of it. I want to share two reasons why mamas in my Macros Made Easy program love having a strong community to support them in their health goals.
Get help from people who are on the same journey
Have you ever tried to have your spouse or a friend be your accountability partner but they aren’t doing anything to work on their health? When they try to hold you accountable to eating healthy while they’re having seconds of all the food you want to eat, it’s hard to take them seriously.
However, if you’re relying on someone who is in the same boat as you or who has been on the same journey and they’re telling you to push through, it’s so much easier to trust them and take their advice. That’s exactly what I want for the mamas in my Macros Made Easy Program.
We have a private Voxer channel where all my students, past and present, can ask questions and encourage each other.
One of my favorite things about our Voxer group is seeing women helping each other when they hit a bump in the path. Sometimes people need food ideas, sometimes they need encouragement because they don’t have support at home and sometimes they just need someone to be excited for a new milestone they hit.
Having a group of women with similar goals has helped one of my clients, Karen, throughout her journey toward a healthier life.
“We all have one goal in mind, and that is to feel better about ourselves and gain back confidence and self-esteem. Krista and each individual on this journey are here for each other. It could be something small, like what we can eat to complete our macros for the day. Or even just sharing their own recipes or where to shop for different products they use. This is a wonderful group of people.”
Whatever you need along this journey, there’s always a group of women ready to make recommendations or cheer you on, right in the palm of your hand.
Learn more on group coaching calls
Group coaching calls are my favorite part of my coaching program, but they’re also the part that I get the most resistance to!
I’ve done one-on-one coaching and group coaching and I can tell you without a doubt that group coaching is so much more valuable.
There is a lot to learn about nutrition and macro tracking. If you only had 12 weeks to learn about the things you could think of you’d barely nick the surface. However, when you get to hear ten or more other people ask questions, you’re bound to get so much more out of the program.
Not to mention that you may find an answer to a problem that you didn’t even know to ask about! One of my Macros Made Easy Mamas, Rebekah, loves the group coaching calls because it gives her new ideas to make progress on her journey.
“I couldn’t count the number of times I’ve had a realization about my health because someone else asked a question on a coaching call. Just this week, I was frustrated that I hadn’t ‘bounced back’ from traveling and then someone else asked about gut health and as Krista answered that question, I realized gut health was something I should also focus on to help my progress. I learn so much from group coaching calls and I love that I don’t feel alone in my struggles because I hear other people going through the same thing as me!”
There is so much power in learning from one another’s experiences! Group coaching calls are like being back in a classroom, as a former teacher, I love that!
I’m so proud of the community of women that I have not only in my Macros Made Easy program but in my free Facebook group, Busy Mom Simple Nutrition.
